Blessed Pope John Paul II was the most beloved pope by the Filipinos (or perhaps by the whole world). He had visited our country twice. First was in February 1981, when he beatified the first Filipino martyr now a saint, Lorenzo Ruiz and in January 1995 to celebrate the World Youth Day.

He also went to Bacolod City as part of his first pastoral visit. And to stand as a memorial to his historic visit to Bacolod, they built a 7-storey tower which was then called Pope John Paul II Tower located in a Reclamation Area near a mall.

Last year, when I took my brother to Bacolod, we were able to visit the said tower and remembered his life through some photos and memorabilia being exhibit there.

If I remember it right, you will have to pay a minimal amount to enter the tower. There’s a also a souvenir shop just beside the tower.

Project Runway?

No! It is the new exhibit installation at the Mind Museum called “The Apocalypse Project: Imagined Futures”. The exhibition doesnt aim to flaunt beauty and style but to create awareness about the climate change. The exhibition is by Catherine Sarah Young, an artist.

So here are some of the photos of the exhibit and the Defenders of the Future. 🙂
